The Duviri Paradox Is The Next Cinematic Warframe Update Launching This Winter

Escape from the loop, but if you fail, you will start it all over again.

July 17, 2022

Digital Extremes officially unveils The Duviri Paradox, the next big cinematic update for Warframe that targets a launch this Winter.

The Duviri Paradox is going to be a unique experience in certain ways, as the expansion features a loop theme, where your failures will return you to your starting point. Of course, this is not going to be a full roguelike experience, but you will still get to feel the pain of being trapped inside a loop.

Furthermore, you can expect a unique visual approach in The Duviri Paradox, as the world you are trapped in is all black and white, but your character powers could give birth to colors. So, you can expect the sudden appearance of colors in a black and white world as you combat, which creates a visually beautiful experience for the players.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

Playing as an outlaw called Drifter, players are trapped in a daily cycle, but with the information, you gather from the residents of the cycle as well as your fellow Tenno, you should find a way to break the loop and defeat Dominus Thrax.

During your progress through this cinematic quest, you might earn upgrades that will boost your character’s abilities, however, all these upgrades will last until the daily cycle finishes, which adds up to the game’s rogue-lite elements.

The Duviri Paradox is set to be launched this winter, which could be some time between late December 2022 and March 2023. The exact release date will be revealed as we are close enough to its launch window.

Here, you can check out 20 minutes of gameplay footage from The Duviri Paradox, showcasing the first few missions of the expansion as well as the outcomes of failing to fulfill them successfully.

Prior to The Duviri Paradox, Warframe is set to receive a new update soon, which will deliver a new epic rescue mission. The Veilbreaker update is the next patch coming to Warframe and it is supposed to mark the return of Kahl-175 and deliver a co-op Archon boss. The release date of the patch will be revealed later, but it shouldn’t take long.
