PUBG Server Status and Maintenance Schedule Today (July 12)

You might need to change your plans as PUBG will not be available for around 8 hours.

July 12, 2022

If you are looking for the PUBG server status on PC, the developers have shut down all servers temporarily for scheduled maintenance, as a new update will soon be available for download.

After a week of monitoring on the test servers, update 18.2 is now ready to be deployed on the live servers of PUBG on PC. Similar to previous major updates, the game servers for PC will be out of reach for several hours while the developers are implementing the required backend changes.

According to an official tweet by PUBG Support, the PUBG servers on PC will go down for maintenance on July 12 at 5:30 pm PT/8:30 pm ET or July 13 at 12:30 am UTC/1:30 am BST/2:30 am CEST. The downtime is expected to last for 8 hours. As long as the PUBG server status is down, you will have no access to any online features of the game. Once the maintenance is done, you can download and install update 18.2.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

The upcoming update is somehow the most anticipated one for PUBG players in the past few months as it will add a new map to the game. Deston is the 9th map of PUBG, and it will bring an 8×8 km environment to life for players, featuring various biomes, from a large-scale city area to a huge swamp in the northern part of the map.

Ripton, the city located in Deston, is probably the best thing you have ever seen in PUBG with a dense downtown area populated by skyscrapers. There are many beautiful points of interest to check out in Deston, and you will probably love the map’s visual design.

Arriving with Deston, PUBG receives a new in-game tool called Ascenders. These are simply ziplines that allow you to reach the top of a building or a skyscraper in a few seconds with no need to go all the way up through stairs.

Aside from Ascenders, you can expect Fuel Pumps and Security Doors as other new additions to the game that will feature in Deston. The former will allow you to refuel your vehicle, while the latter is the path toward high-value loots, but you can only unlock these doors using Security Keys, which can be found by exploring the map.

We will share the full patch notes for update 18.2 in a separate article once the update is live.
