First Sketch Of Killua Shared By Yoshihiro Togashi After Announcing Manga's Return

Killua looks angry in the new sketch.

July 7, 2022

The last two months have been the best ones for anime fans. Tokyo Revengers and My Hero Academia were announced to have a new season, Berserk returned from hiatus, and several new anime announcements were made. But what truly made these months special was Hunter X Hunter’s comeback. The manga of the series had been on hiatus since 2018, with no news of its return until recently.

The news of manga’s return first came from a Twitter account that fans speculated to be of Yoshihiro Togashi. But it wasn’t confirmed if it was truly the legend himself or just a fake account. Thanks to Yusuke Murata, the creator of One Punch Man, who confirmed the legitimacy of the account soon after the post went viral. Then what? As expected, the fans went berserk on the internet, and it didn’t take long for Togashi’s account to become the most followed mangaka account on Twitter.

DUALSHOCKERS VIDEO OF THE DAY

The first drawing for the upcoming Hunter X Hunter chapter was out on May 25th, 2022. It was simply a tree with a few more trees in the back, possibly showing a scene from a jungle. Several other drawings have also been shared by Togashi, but none of them seem to hint at anything solid. Even the drawings that seem to hint at a character weren’t clear at all.

But the recent sketch posted by Yoshihiro Togashi on his official Twitter account is of none other than Killua Zoldyck. Unlike previous sketches, this one looks absolutely clean and shows strange energy surrounding his body. His nen abilities allow him to generate electricity, so we can assume that Killua is using nen in the sketch. It also appears as though he is holding something in his hand which looks like a rope. But one thing is sure, he doesn’t look happy, which is not good for his enemy.

We can hope to see other great sketches after this one for other characters from the manga. The new drawings surely thrill the fans, but what they most await is the exact release date for the new chapters.
