Solstice Day event introduces Event Card and Armor Upgrade as two new event-themed systems.

July 18, 2022

It’s Summer again and Destiny 2 fans have been waiting so long for this one, as Solstice Day 2022 event will soon go live, but if you need some more information including the start time of the event and featured rewards, we have got you covered!

The Solstice Day event has always been one of the popular Summer events in Destiny 2 as Bungie delivers a new limited-time activity as well as some event-themed cosmetics and rewards.

For this year, you can expect the Destiny 2 Solstice Day 2022 event to go live on July 19 and the start time has been set for the weekly reset time, which is 10 am PT/1 pm ET/5 pm UTC/6 pm BST/7 pm CEST. Keep in mind that a new update will be available for download at the aforementioned time before you can start playing the new event.

With the arrival of Solstice Day 2022, Bungie introduces two brand new systems into the event, including the Event Card and Armor Upgrading experience. Event Card is simply a brief and event-themed Battle Pass system that includes some special challenges, completing which you earned Event Tickets, which can then be used to unlock more new rewards after upgrading your Event Card.

So, this is more like a new extension for your Director that will help you to keep the track of things that you have already done in the event and the challenges or opportunities that still remain untouched.

On the other hand, the Armor Upgrading experience is a new system for upgrading or earning new armor rolls in the duration of the event based on finding and spending Solstice-themed currencies. Collecting each one of these currencies will require you to do different activities during the event.

But the reason for breaking down the armor upgrade to multiple currencies is because Bungie wants players to go after the currency they need for the type of upgrade they want. So, depending on the upgrade you want, your grinding process could be easy or difficult.

Bungie has also improved the Solstice EAZ activity, but the developer didn’t share any details about these improvements.
